National History

On February 19th 1852, William Henry Letterman and Charles Page Thomas Moore, two young menattending Jefferson College in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, founded Phi Kappa Psi; a fraternity based on “the great joy of serving others”. 162 years later, Phi Kappa Psi remains one of the oldest national fraternities and remains actively involved in philanthropy, with over 100 chapters nationwide with ties to Boys and Girls Club of America.

Chapter History

In 2002, Phi Kappa Psi’s New York Iota chapter at Binghamton University was founded, and officially got chartered in 2004. Over the past 10 years, we have become one of the top Greek organizations on campus, as we continuously rank among the top in philanthropy hours and grade point average. What truly separates us from the rest is our strong brotherhood: our strong bond enables us to succeed in any task we may face as a chapter, and helps bring the best out of each of us individually as we push each other and strive to succeed.
